For such an incredible, vibrant city that is practically made for students, awareness of Leeds and its unique proposition was surprisingly low amongst prospective applicants from further afield. For our first campaign with Leeds Beckett University, we were tasked with creating awareness of this great city, showcasing the North as something to be celebrated, not apologised for.
To truly communicate the message that Leeds is for everyone, we knew we had to fully commit to a human, heartfelt tone, delivering a campaign that was jarringly different to the typical university promo videos that would be flooding the internet as A-level students received their results.
LBU were fully on board with our approach, and their faith in our vision allowed us to create something that was incredibly fun to make, and (thanks to student insight) represents so many of the traits and locations that make Leeds the welcoming, diverse city that it is.
